The beginning ("l'attacco") in Lux aeterna was simply marvelous.
The Requiem has been executed by a high-level vocal quartet, out of which stood out the mezzosoprano Anita Rachvelishvili. The young singer, well known to the italian audience since her excellent debut in the title role of "Carmen" at the opening evening of Teatro alla Scala in 2009, possesses an absolutely extraordinary instrument. Her dark and compact timbre and a secure emission are accompanied by a tremendous ability of finding an infinite amount of colours in her voice. The beginning ("l'attacco") in Lux aeterna was simply marvelous.
